Piano Curriculum

All piano students are encouraged to participate in the fall semester studio master class and spring semester studio benefit recital.

Piano lessons are a wonderful introduction to the musical world.  The piano is a versatile instrument that is used in almost every style of music.  All aspiring vocalists need to have a basic level of piano proficiency so that they can teach themselves their music.  This expressive instrument is a joy to play and can help children develop not only their musical skills but also their math, language, physical coordination, and listening skills. 

Piano lessons may be taken by themselves or as a compliment to voice lessons.  Materials used include music flash cards, The Alfred d’Auberge piano series, and The Joy of First Year Piano.
