I have been taking lessons with Andrea for almost three years now, and since beginning lessons with her my skills have improved dramatically. Andrea is a patient, creative, and caring teacher. She always makes the lessons fun and is always trying to get me to think in new ways regarding vocal technique. After much research on all the options available in the area for singing lessons for our daughter, we chose Andrea Veal to teach Kylie.  It has been amazing to see Kylie’s growth under Andrea’s tutelage.  Kylie had always had a passion for singing, but that passion has grown tenfold.  She has a greater range than she imagined she could, as she is in the Alto section in her schools chorus.  She has more control in her tone and pitch and also in volume.

Andrea is an amazing teacher, you can tell she enjoys what she does and she passes that on to her students.  She doesn’t just teach a child to sing, she teaches everything they need to be successful, from the notes, the rhythm, and the way to hold the body, neck and head to produce the clear, proper notes and tones with ease.

Voice lessons with Andrea Veal have not only improved my voice, but have improved my overall presentation while singing. Entering my first semester at UNH as a vocal major, I felt very prepared due to a year of lessons with Andrea. You can tell that she loves teaching, and that she is very knowledgeable, and wants her students to understand, even if that means teaching her students the same thing several different ways, until they understand. Andrea has helped me succeed in many things, from making it into All-State for the first time in four years, after having lessons with her, to preparing for my college auditions, to performing modern works for musical theatre competitions, to presenting my own original songs. I highly trust her judgment, and she really knows the appropriate times to progress and introduce new things for me to focus on. She is very good with technical things also, such as body mapping and the International Phonetic Alphabet, and she knows how to pronounce all main languages for singing flawlessly, which has been a great help. I would definitely rank her as high as a college voice teacher, and would recommend her to any student looking for voice lessons.

Andrea Veal is a superb vocalist.  As our church soloist, she is always well-prepared in performing a solo each Sunday and leading the congregation in singing the hymns.  Her voice and presentation of the solo each week is absolutely angelic. Guests at our service are often impressed with and remark on the beauty and professionalism of our soloist.  We are blessed to have her as part of our church service!   

Andrea has also been my daughter’s voice teacher for the past few years. Having trained with world-class musicians, Andrea has an impressive musical background and resume.   She continues to actively seek out opportunities to grow and stretch herself professionally.  Andrea is not only gifted as a superb vocalist with a pure and angelic voice, but is also blessed with the rare gift of being an extremely talented teacher.  She successfully shares best practices in musicianship and educational techniques with her students in the studio.  I have always been impressed with her pedagogy!  One of her strengths is her ability to analyze and verbalize beneficial vocal techniques so that students can understand what they need to do to instantaneously improve their sound.  She works weekly with the students on vocal technique, presentation of the music, and on technical aspects of musicianship including theory, rhythm and sight singing.  She is always gentle, kind and sweet in the way she teaches and speaks with her students.  I am thrilled that my daughter is included in Andrea’s studio.  My daughter has grown tremendously as a vocalist under Andrea’s tutelage.

I have enjoyed taking voice lessons from Andrea Veal for the last three years.  Throughout my time with Andrea, my voice, technique, and skills have all improved dramatically.  Andrea has helped me develop my voice by explaining and showing me exactly what she wants me to do to improve.  She is a very clear communicator, whether it comes to explaining a new skill or arranging lesson times.  Andrea has helped me expand my sight reading skills, helped me learn to sing in French, Spanish, Italian and German, and has provided me and other students with other helpful voice workshops such as phonetics.  Andrea always makes voice lessons extremely fun, and I look forward to them every week!
