Andrea Veal Voice Studio
High standards.  Excellent results.

In addition to her success as a performer, Ms. Veal has had great success as a teacher of singing.  She is the director of the Andrea Veal Voice Studio in Rochester, New Hampshire, and is on the faculty of the Concord Community Music School.  She is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing and an officer in the Granite State chapter.  She has adjudicated for NATS, MTNA, and MENC.  In 2007, she was selected from a pool of national applicants to participate in the NATS Intern Program, a two-week intensive training course for promising young teachers.  She is on the voice faculty of UNH’s Summer Youth Music School and has also taught voice at UNH and MusicalArts in Exeter.

Philosophy of Teaching
Ms. Veal uses a reality-based teaching style which frees students to move, breathe, and sing more naturally.  She utilizes visual, kinesthetic, tactile, and auditory teaching techniques to appeal to students of all learning styles.  These methods enable the student to make the most natural, comfortable, beautiful, and artistic sound that his or her voice can make.

Andrea Veal Voice Studio
The Andrea Veal Voice Studio is located in Rochester, NH in a wooded residential area.  The studio space provides plenty of natural light and a comfortable waiting area.  Students at the Andrea Veal Voice Studio receive weekly 60-, 45-, or 30-minute lessons.  Lessons include body, breathing, and singing warm-ups, work on song literature, and music-reading or music theory exercises.  Voice lessons are available to students 13 years and older; piano lessons are available to children younger than 13.  Ms. Veal accepts students of all skill levels.  She has taught young beginners, college prep, university voice majors, and adults.  Prospective students are welcome to inquire by e-mail.  Gift certificates are available.

Supplemental course offerings
Ms. Veal often offers coursework to supplement the materials covered in lessons.  These classes allow students to focus on one area of music study that otherwise could occupy only several minutes of an individual lesson.  Class topics include:
Masterclass
Body Alignment
International Phonetic Alphabet, Parts I and II
Diction
All-State Preparation
Song Literature
